The Misericordia University women's cross country team dominated the field to win the 6K at Dickinson Long-Short Invitational, Saturday at Big Spring High School.

Madison Hedglin (22:08), Grace Gallagher and Madison Kammer finished 2-3-4, respectively, to out distance runner-up Gettysburg, 9-32, to top the 19-team field.

The MU trio were within two seconds of each other at the mile mark. Hedglin and first-place finisher Claire Anderson of Washington & Jefferson pulled away from the field over the latter half of the race.

Grace Morningstar led the Cougars with a 37^th-place finish in the 4K.
