The Misericordia University men's volleyball team picked up its first win of the season with a split at the Hobart Tournament.
After dropping a tough four-set decision to Buffalo State, the Cougars swept Hartwick, 3-0.
Christopher U'Glay led the Cougars with 13 kills against Buffalo State while
Noah Reen and
Jackson Fehnel added 10 kills each.
Benjamin Clendening and
Andrew George had six blocks each and
Joe Kozak added five blocks.
George added 20 assists and Fehnel had a team-high 10 digs.
Buffalo State took the opener, 25-21, and the Cougars answered with a 25-21 in the second set.
The Bengals scored five of the last six points to take the third set, 26-24, and edged the Cougars, 31-29, in the finale.
Against Hartwick,
Isaac Drake and
Jacob McCue had nine kills and two blocks each and
Isaac Drummond had 16 assists.
MU won 25-17, 25-21, 25-19.
Misericordia will return to the court when they host the Cougar Kickoff Classic, Friday.
