Misericordia University football standout Owen Norman has been named the MAC Defensive Player of the Week.

A junior defensive end, Norman set a school record with 6.5 sacks in a 28-7 win over FDU-Florham while setting the school single-game and single-season records.

He had nine total tackles and forced a fumble.

His sack total is the single-game high in D-III this season and accounted for 45 yards of lost yardage.
