The Misericordia University women's wrestling team competed at the inaugural MAC Championship, Sunday at Delaware Valley.

 

Maya Landefeld led the Cougars with a third-place finish at 207.

 

She dropped a 6-0 in her opening bout against Emma Lavalle of York, but won two straight matches in the consolation bracket.

 

Landefeld fell behind 2-0 in her first consolation bout, but rallied to take a 4-2 lead before winning by fall in 1:05 over Kayla Maldonado of Alvernia.

 

She defeated Lauren Parry of Arcadia, 4-0, in the consolation final.

 

The Cougars finished sixth of six in the team standings.
