Gannon Schwalm was the top finisher for the Misericordia University men's swim team on the opening day of the MAC Championships, Thursday at Graham Aquatics Center in York.

Schwalm (1:55.26) was the runner-up in the 200 IM and swam the lead-off leg in the 200 medley relay where he teamed with Sean Tadiello, Jacob Rose and Chase McCray to finish third (1:37.12).

Rose (21.7) finished seventh in the 50 free while Michael Cooper was 14^th and Chase McCray placed 22^nd.

Aidan Lippert finished 13^th in the 200 IM and Jack Miscavage was 20^th.

Max Dung (4:57.91) finished 18^th in the 500 free and Ryan Hauer was 22^nd.

Dung, Michael Saladino, Lippert and Jack Sedito finished 15^th in the 200 medley relay (1:40.12).

The Cougars are in fifth place in the team standings with 174 points.  Stevens leads the 11-team field with 396 points.
