The Misericordia University men's wrestling team ended its dual season with a 30-12 win at Wilkes, Tuesday night.

Jariel Severino (197) both won by fall while
Nikosh Marston (141), Jacob Weaver (165) and
Aiden Hidlay (285) all won by major decision.

Anthony Matas (174) and
Robbie Anderson (184) won by decision.

Down 12-10 after five bouts, the Cougars won the last five matches, including thee bonus-point wins.

Trailing 3-2 entering the third period, McCusker countered a shot to record a takedown and take a 5-3 lead early in the period.

He locked up a cradle in the middle of the mat and recorded a pin a 6:04.

Marston earned takedowns in the first and third periods to record a major decision at 141.

Wilkes won the next two bouts, but the Cougars won five straight to secure the win.

Weaver picked up four takedowns to cruise to a 13-2 win at 165.

Matas notched a late takedown to secure a 9-4 win at 174.

Anderson got a takedown late in the second period and used a tough cross-body ride to maintain control throughout the third period to earn a decision at 184.

Severino took a 4-1 lead with a deep double-leg takedown on the edge of the mat with 1:20 left in the third period. He fought off a shot late in the period and took his opponent to his back to clinch the win with a pin.

Hidlay had takedowns in the second and third periods to earn the major decision at 285.
