The Misericordia University STUNT team is ranked third in the country in the USA STUNT preseason poll.
 
The Cougars finished undefeated against Division III opponents and advanced to the national tournament as one of the top five teams in the country a year ago.
 
Misericordia returns 15 letter-winners from last year, including senior captains Rachel Kowal and Anna Mellody.
 
In addition, veteran head coach Tara Sinclair welcomes 14 newcomers to this year's team.  MU alum Kaitlyn Shatzel is the graduate assistant coach.
 
Adopted as a sport by the NCAA in 2024, the STUNT has experienced rapid growth and the NCAA recently voted to sponsor a national championship for the first time beginning in 2027.  
 
The Cougars will open the 2026 season against Malone and East Stroudsburg, February 22.
