The Misericordia University men's volleyball team beat Elmira, 3-1, Saturday.

The Cougars took the first two sets, 25-21, 25-20, before Elmira won, 32-30, to stay alive. MU closed out the win with a 25-19 win in the fourth set.

Jackson Fehnel led the Cougars with 12 kills while
Isaac Griffin added nine kills and five blocks.Â
Noah Reen had seven kills and three aces and
Benjamin Clendening and
Joe Kozak had eight and five blocks, respectively.

Evan Schmidt had 23 assists.

The Cougars used a 5-1 run fueled by an U'Glay ace and two kills from Fehnel to take the lead for good in the first set, 16-14.

Kozak had two kills to help break a 12-12 in the second set and Fehnel had two kills to give MU a 21-17 lead.

Elmira scored five straight points to tie the third set, 24-24, and scored three straight points to win 32-30.

Reen had three straight aces as part of a 10-2 run to give the Cougars a 14-9 lead in the finale.
