The Misericordia University STUNT team dropped a pair of games on the opening day of the Ashland STUNT Invitational, Saturday in Ashland, OH.
The Cougars dropped the opener to DI Central Michigan, 28-16. The Cougars played hard, but trailed throughout the contest.

Emma DiCarlo was recognized as Stunter of the game for her work in multiple stunting positions throughout the first, second and fourth quarters.
Rachel Kowal was named Player of the Game after assisting in scoring points in every quarter.
The Cougars lost game two to St. Mary's, the number three team in the country.
The Cougars scored early and headed into the second quarter Pyramid and Tosses tied 2-2.
The teams went head-to-head with difficult routines in the second quarter with St. Mary's taking a 5-4 lead.
Each team earned six points in the jumps and tumbling routines in the third quarter and St. Mary's led 11-10 heading to the fourth period.
The Cougars struggled to execute 2 of the 4 team routines in the fourth quarter and St. Mary's won, 25-21.
Alex Koch was named player of the game for her outstanding execution in tumbling and her work on the game mat with partner stunts and pyramids.
Keileen Trochez earned stunter of the game for her work in Pyramid and
Tosses Routines and
Lily Matthews was named Tumbler of the Game for her performance in the third and fourth quarter routines.Â
The Cougars take on DII teams Malone University and Walsh University in day two of the Ashland STUNT Invitational, Sunday.
