The Misericordia University men's golf team opened the MAC Freedom Championships, Saturday at Iron Valley Golf Club in Lebanon.
 
Ryan Vallach led the Cougars with an 84 and is tied for 14^th place after one round.
 
The Cougars are eighth of eight teams at 359. 
 
Vallach will tee off in the second round, Sunday at 10:45 am.
