The Misericordia University women's track & field team is in second place after the opening day of the All-Atlantic Regional Track & Field Championships, Wednesday at Ursinus.
 
The Cougars have 24 points and trail Rochester (30) in the 65-team field.
 
Alexandra Snyder (43.45) won the javelin while Valerie Badger finished third.
 
Madison Hedglin (17:26.01) was second at 5000m and Madison Kammer was 12^th.
 
Cassandra Burt (12:05.16) finished 12^th in the 3000m steeple chase.
