The Misericordia University softball team dropped into the consolation bracket with a 11-4 loss to Lebanon Valley in the winner's bracket final, Saturday afternoon at Anderson Field.

The Cougars will play an elimination game against the Stevens/FDU-Florham winner later Saturday.

Kiersten Tinio and
Gianna Russo all had two hits and
Alicia Moran hit a solo homer.

The Dutchmen scored in every inning except the fifth to advance to the championship game.

Down 1-0 in the first inning, the Cougars tied it in their half. Tinio lined a one-out single to right and moved to second on
Mackenzie Fizer's soft liner to left.Â
Casey Funesti reached on a fielder's choice and Tinio scored on a throwing error.

Trailing 3-1 in the third, the Cougars pulled even with two runs in the bottom of the inning. Doherty sliced a single inside the left field line and came all the way around when Tinio one-hopped a double off the wall in center. After Funesti walked, Russo doubled off the wall in center to tie game.

Moran blasted a solo homer to left to lead off the sixth.
