Jackie Klahold has been named Associate Director of Athletics for Internal Operations at Misericordia University, Chuck Edkins, Executive Director of Athletics, has announced.
 
"I am pleased to welcome Jackie Klahold to Misericordia University as the newest member of our athletics staff," said Edkins.  "Her experience as a coach and administrator will be tremendous assets to our program."
 
Klahold spent the last seven years as the head softball coach at Wilkes University and was the associate director of athletics for game day operations since 2023.
 
As head softball coach, Klahold won more than 100 games at Wilkes and had two 20-win seasons in the last three years.  She led the Colonels to three postseason berths, including back-to-back trips to the Landmark Tournament in 2025 and 2026.
 
"I am excited about the next chapter in my professional career," said Klahold.  "I look forward to the opportunity to collaborate with athletic administrative staff, coaches and the entire Cougar community to continue to take Misericordia athletics to new heights."
 
Klahold also served as the Senior Woman Administrator at Wilkes and is a member of the NCAA DIII Softball Championship Committee and NCAA Softball Regional Advisory Committee. 
 
A native of Trumbull, CT Klahold owns a bachelor's degree in media communications from Florida Atlantic and a bachelor's in elementary education from Wilkes.  She earned her master's in classroom technology from Wilkes.
 
Prior to Wilkes, she spent three seasons as head softball coach and SWA at Penn College of Technology.
 
She also spent three season as the head softball coach at SUNY Canton and has more 200 career wins as a head coach.
