Michaela Singer has been named head field hockey coach at Misericordia University, Executive Director of Athletics and Recreation Chuck Edkins announced.

"We are thrilled to welcome Michaela Singer to Misericordia University," said Edkins. "Throughout the search process, she demonstrated a genuine passion for coaching, student-athlete development and building a strong team culture. Her experience as both a successful player and coach, combined with her commitment to academic and athletic excellence, make her an outstanding fit for our department. We are excited about the future of our field hockey program under her leadership."

Singer arrives at Misericordia after spending the past four years as head field hockey coach at Mercersburg Academy where she directed all facets of the program, including player development, recruiting, practice planning and game preparation. During her tenure, she earned a reputation for fostering a positive and competitive environment while emphasizing leadership, accountability and personal growth.

"I am honored and excited to join the Misericordia University community," said Singer. "Misericordia's commitment to excellence in the classroom and on the field aligns perfectly with my coaching philosophy. The university's strong values, supportive campus environment and tradition of success made this an opportunity I could not pass up. I look forward to working with our student-athletes, building meaningful relationships and continuing the winning tradition that has been established both in the MAC and beyond."

A standout student-athlete during her collegiate career, Singer was among the most accomplished players in program history at Wilson College. She earned ECAC All-Star recognition three times and was selected ECAC Player of the Year as a senior. She also captured Colonial States Athletic Conference Player of the Year honors and earned National Field Hockey Coaches Association All-Region recognition.

Singer brings a player-centered approach to leadership, focusing on skill development, team cohesion and creating an environment where student-athletes can thrive academically, athletically and personally.

"Michaela understands the importance of the student-athlete experience," added Edkins. "She has a clear vision for developing young women as competitors, leaders and members of the campus community. We believe she will make an immediate impact on our program and continue to build on the strong foundation that already exists."

Singer assumes leadership of a program that has enjoyed success in the MAC Freedom and in the NCAA Mid-Atlantic region.
