Kelly Blackhurst is in her second year as the graduate assistant with the Misericordia University field hockey team.
She spent the past three seasons at as an assistant coach at Denison University. At Denison, she assisted in the creation and execution of daily training plans and helped identify and recruit prospective student-athletes.
Blackhurst also coached the Futures team in Columbus, developing some of the top athletes in the region.
She was also a highly decorated player during her four years at Skidmore where she was the NFHCA Division III National Player of the Year, two-time first team All-American, and two-time NFHCA North Atlantic Player of the Year.
She was a two-time Liberty League Offensive Player of the Year and three-time NFCHA North Atlantic first-team.
In addition, Blackhurst was named to the Liberty League All-Academic and All-Liberty teams all four years.
She ranks fifth in NCAA Division III with 264 career points.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in Business and Management.
