Aaron Mershman

    Offensive Coordinator/Offensive Line
Aaron Mershman is in his fourth year as a member of the Misericordia University football coaching staff and his second season as offensive coordinator.
 
He was promoted to offensive coordinator in March, 2020 after spending two seasons as offensive line coach where he produced four all-conference players.
 
In his first season at MU, the Cougars enjoyed a breakout 8-3 record and saw dramatic increases in points per game (+32.6) and rush yards per game (+23.3) while establishing a program record of 177.9 yards per game on the ground.
 
Mershman helped the Cougars to a historic run that included 14 total wins and pair of postseason berths in two seasons.
 
He tutored guard Mike Anderson to All-MAC and All-Region honors as a freshman.
 
Previously, Mershman spent three seasons at Defiance College, culminating in 15 all-conference players and the school’s best record in the last decade.
 
Mershman was promoted each season at Defiance, starting in 2015 as offensive line coach to offensive coordinator in 2016 and head coach in 2017.
 
Before his time in Division III, Mershman worked as an offensive graduate assistant at Ball State and as a defensive graduate assistant at Bowling Green State University where he earned a MAC Championship ring in 2013.
 
Mershman resides in Dallas with his wife Cierra and their son TJ.
