Elizabeth Stanton has joined the Misericordia University staff as the track & field intern assistant coach. She graduated from Capital University (OH) in 2009 with a major in Health and Fitness Management.
Stanton then coached jumps at Capital for one year, after coaching at Withrow High School in Cincinnati. She has her Level One coaching certificate and worked for the Skyhawks Sports Academy for four years. She was also the 2011 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships Coordinator at Capital.
As an athlete, Stanton was a four-time Division III All-American, twice in the long jump and twice in the 4x100 relay. Her relay team set the Ohio state record for Division III.
Stanton became the first individual All-American in Capital program history in 2008, achieving the status in both the indoor and outdoor long jump.
