Misericordia University Athletics

Richard Lipinski will serve as interim head softball coach at Misericordia University during the 2022 season.

"We're excited to welcome Rich Lipinski to the Misericordia athletics staff," said MU director of athletics Chuck Edkins.  "He brings a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience to the program."

Lipinski has extensive coaching experience throughout the region at the collegiate and high school level.

Most recently, he served as an assistant coach at MMI Prep after 17 seasons at Penn State Hazleton, including five as head coach.

He helped the Lions to 12 consecutive PSUAC playoff appearances and five USCAA national tournaments.

Misericordia finished 24-6 a year ago and reached the MAC Freedom championship series.
