Colleen Stengel is in her third year as the head women's volleyball coach at Misericordia University.
Last season, Stengel led the Cougars to the top seed with a perfect 7-0 record in the MAC Freedom. The Cougars finished 22-10 while making their second consecutive MAC Freedom championship game.
 Stengel was named MAC Freedom Coach of the Year last season while four Cougars earned All-MAC Freedom recognition with Jenna Schuda earning Player of the Year and Keira McCaffrey named Defensive Player of the Year.
Schuda and McCaffrey earned AVCA All-Region and All-America honors.
The Cougars were 25-9 in 2024. Schuda was the MAC Freedom Player of the Year and earned AVCA All-America honors. She was joined on the AVCA all-region team by Meghan Peters.
Previously, Stengel spent six seasons as an assistant coach at Cortland, including one season as associate head coach. She helped the Red Dragons to three SUNYAC championships and three NCAA Tournament appearances. The Red Dragons reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament in all three seasons.
Stengel was part of the SUNYAC Coaching Staff of the Year in 2021, 2022 and 2023 as the Red Dragons compiled a perfect 27-0 league record during that time.
A four-year letter-winner at Arcadia University, Stengel helped the Knights to their first MAC Commonwealth Tournament berth as a senior.
