Colleen Stengel

Colleen Stengel is in her second year as the head women's volleyball coach at Misericordia University,

In her first season, Stengel led the Cougars to a 25-9 record and their first appearance in the MAC Freedom championship game.

Five Cougars were named to the All-MAC Freedom team in 2024, including Player of the Year Jenna Schuda, who was named Player of the Year.

Schuda and Meghan Peters earned AVCA all-region honors and Schuda became the second All-American in program history.

Previously, Stengel spent six seasons as an assistant coach at Cortland, including one season as associate head coach.  She helped the Red Dragons to three SUNYAC championships and three NCAA Tournament appearances.  The Red Dragons reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament in all three seasons.

Stengel was part of the SUNYAC Coaching Staff of the Year in 2021, 2022 and 2023 as the Red Dragons compiled a perfect 27-0 league record during that time.

A four-year letter-winner at Arcadia University, Stengel helped the Knights to their first MAC Commonwealth Tournament berth as a senior.
