Lynea Gregory joined the Misericordia University field hockey program as an assistant coach in July, 2023.
Prior to coaching at Misericordia, Gregory was a member of the Virginia Commonwealth University where she was a four-year starter. Gregory helped lead VCU to an undefeated regular season in the spring of 2021 (7-0) and to the program’s first Atlantic 10 Conference Championship and NCAA Tournament appearance.
A Shavertown, PA native, Gregory attended nearby Lake-Lehman High School where she was a four-year starter. While at Lake-Lehman, she was a two-time all-state selection and four-time WVC All-Star. She served as a team captain and led the team to the 2016 district championship and three runner-up finishes.
Gregory has spent time coaching club teams in Richmond, VA along with local teams in PA.
She is certified USA Field Hockey Official.
Gregory graduated from VCU with a bachelor’s degree in 2022.
