Patrick Rankin is in his second season as the graduate assistant men’s and women’s swimming coach at Misericordia University.
A graduate of Widener University Rankin was a four-year letterman for the Pride and was a seven-time Middle Atlantic Conference “A” Finalist.
In his first season at MU, he helped guide the Cougars men's and women’s teams to the highest point totals in program history at the MAC Championships. In addition, the teams set seven school records and met an NCAA “B” cut qualifying time.
The MU men's and women's teams finished third and second, respectively, at the 2026 Middle Atlantic Conference Championships.
Prior to Misericordia, Rankin spent four seasons as the head coach of the Briarcliffe swim team and two seasons as an assistant for the Lansdowne YMCA.
In that time, he helped guide multiple swimmers to qualify for YMCA Nationals and won multiple divisional championships.
