Jessica Pluta is a senior member of the Misericordia University softball team. A four-year letter winner, Pluta has been a key contributor to the Cougars since her first year. An occupational therapy major from Dauphin, PA, Pluta is off to a fast start this season, hitting .310 for the year in 17 games. In a win over Eastern, she went 3-4 with three RBI and a run scored. As a junior, she started 42 games and was third on the team with a .330 batting average. She had seven RBI and one home run on the season and had a .971 fielding percentage, good enough for third highest on the team. In her first two years at Misericordia, Pluta played in 60 games and had seven runs batted in.
