Kaitlin Wheeler is a senior member of the Misericordia University women’s volleyball team.
A four-year letter winner, the Chesapeake, VA native has appeared in 123 sets as the Cougars’ primary libero this season. Wheeler leads the team with 403 digs, making her the eighth player in program history to achieve 400 or more digs in a single season.
The former Hickory High School standout recorded her 1,000th career dig at home against St. Joe’s (LI) on Sept. 7, 2018 and currently ranks third on Misericordia’s all-time leaderboard with 1,350 career digs.
Last season, Wheeler recorded a team-best 345 digs with a career-high 27 against Frostburg State.
As a sophomore, she was second on the team in digs (337) and assists (47).
This year, the women’s volleyball team won a program-best 25 games and earned the third seed in the MAC Freedom Championships.
