Misericordia University Athletics

Matthew Beck is a senior member of the Misericordia University men’s lacrosse team. He is a medical science major from Massapequa Park, NY.

A four-year letter winner, Beck has appeared in 13 games with eight starts this season. The senior goalie has a 5-4 record with a .613 save percentage and a 9.85 goals against average. Beck currently ranks second in the MAC Freedom in save percentage and third in goals against average.

The former Massapequa High School standout appeared in 12 games with eight starts in 2018. Beck was chosen MAC Freedom Defensive Player of the Week twice and garnered United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Team of the Week once.

Beck finished his junior campaign ranked second in the conference in save percentage with a .610 mark. He was also selected to the Spring MAC Sportsmanship team in recognition of his strong leadership skills and dedication to the program.

Off the field, Beck is an active member of the Misericordia University Student Athlete Advisory Committee. He has also been instrumental in the athletic department’s involvement at Patriots Cove, a non-profit organization that works to empower veterans and first responders. ?
