Will Chandler is in his 11th season as the head men’s basketball coach at Misericordia University.
Entering the 2025-26 season, he holds a career record of 125-113 and has led MU to four consecutive MAC Freedom Tournament appearances.
In 10 seasons, Chandler has coached 18 All-MAC Freedom players, four conference Players of the Year, including two-time Player of the Year Jason Kenny, three Rookies of the Year, one ECAC Rookie of the Year, four NABC All-District first-team performers, four D3hoops.com All-Atlantic first-team honorees, one MAC Senior Scholar Athlete of the Year and seven 1,000-point scorers.
The Cougars reached the MAC Freedom Tournament in each of Chandler’s first three seasons at the helm and won back-to-back conference titles in 2017 and 2018.
In his first season as head coach at his alma mater, Chandler guided the Cougars to the second seed in the MAC Freedom before suffering a buzzer-beating loss in the semifinals.
In Chandler’s second season, the Cougars finished as the third seed and went on to win the league title and advance to the NCAA Tournament.
The Cougars finished fourth in 2018, but won two games on the road to claim their second straight conference championship and NCAA berth.
Chandler, who earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration, holds nine school career records and five single-game records. He was a four-time Misericordia/Wendy’s Athlete of the Year.
He spent five seasons playing professionally in Europe, South America and United States Basketball League.
