The Misericordia University volleyball team swept the Manhattanville team with 25-12, 25-19 and 25-23 wins Tuesday night to improve to 14-10.
The Cougars led by as much as 10 in the second set and 12 in the third, but the Valiants fought to keep the match close.
Michelle DiCicco led with seven kills on 23 total attacks. Danielle Leonzi had another six, and Jesse Karger had five. Shannon Kane had five service aces.
Megan Hotaling spread the ball around throughout the match and ended with 12 assists.
Kane and Amy Porambo played their roles well on the defensive side of the ball. Kane ended the night with 14 digs; Porambo had 13.
The Cougars have two matches remaining in the regular season—both against conference opponents. They head to Alvernia Saturday, Oct. 25, and host DeSales next Wednesday, Oct. 29.
