The Misericordia University volleyball team was swept by nationally-ranked Eastern University Tuesday.

After falling 25-12, 25-8 in the first two games, the Cougars were much more competitive in a 25-21 loss in the final game.

Michelle DiCicco led the Cougars with six kills and three solo blocks. Shannon Kane added six digs to the defense and Jesse Karger added eight assists on offense.

The Cougars will host FDU-Florham on Oct. 15.
