The Misericordia University men's basketball team avenged last week's Laurel Line Tournament loss with a convincing 91-69 win at Marywood, Saturday afternoon.
Robbie Johnson led four players in double figures with 23 points and
Ethan Eichhorst added 20 points and a team-high nine rebounds.
Vinny Baumunk had 18 points and Dom Del Prete added 11 as the Cougars improved to 4-2.
MU connected on eight of their first nine field goal attempts and built an early 10-point lead.
After Marywood got within 22-18, midway through the first period, Misericordia went on a 21-2 run over the next 5:38 to take a 46-20 lead.
The Cougars led comfortably throughout the second half and after Marywood rally cut the margin to 78-66 with 3:38 remaining, MU responded with a 7-0 run to put the game away.
Misericordia shot 58% from the floor and 89% from the free throw line on the day and held a 43-29 rebounding advantage.
The Cougars will host Susquehanna, Tuesday at 7:00.
