The Misericordia University women's basketball team dropped a non-league contest at Lebanon Valley, 47-43, Wednesday.
Courtney Sykes led the Cougars with 13 points and 12 rebounds and
Lacey DeGraw added a double-double with 12 points and 10 reboounds.
The Cougars led 27-24 at halftime, but managed just 16 points over the final 20 minutes.
Lindsey Sykes gave the Cougars a 36-30 lead with 12:29 remaining, but Lebanon Valley went on a 12-0 run over the next five minutes to take a 42-36 lead.
MU responded with seven straight points to go ahead 43-42, but they were held scoreless over the final three minutes.
The Cougars will host DeSales in their home debut and first-ever Freedom Conference game, Saturday at 1:00.
