Matt Hornak was a double winner for the Misericordia University men's tennis team, but the Cougars lost at Alvernia, 6-3, Tuesday.

Hornak won 6-1, 6-1 at fourth singles and teamed with Ryan Calby to win 8-3 at third doubles.

Brett Ford added a 6-3, 7-5 win at sixth singles.

The Cougars will visit Wilkes, Thursday.
