Misericordia University swept doubles action and picked up key wins at one and two singles as the Cougars improved to 7-1 on the year with a 6-3 non-conference win over host Marywood University Monday afternoon in women's tennis action.
Misericordia's first doubles team of
Abby Searfoss and
Ashley Managbang cruised to an 8-2 win and both went on to victories at first and second singles, respectively.
Searfoss won 6-0, 6-3 and Mangabang picked up a three-set, super-tiebreaker win, 6-1, 5-7, 10-8.
Sarah Golis added a win a fifth singles for the Cougars and teamed with
Jen Spott to win at third doubles.
Maura Haupt and
Courtney Otto won at second doubles as the Cougars improved to 7-1 and will host Alvernia, Saturday.
