The Misericordia women's soccer team gave up a late goal to Eastern this afternoon and saw their four-game unbeaten run end with the Eagles emerging victorious by a score of 2-0.

The first half was played fairly evenly, with few good chances for either team. In the second half, Eastern scored the winning goal in the 75th minute.

The Cougars pushed numbers forward but were unable to score, and Eastern counterattacked for a second goal 46 seconds before the final whistle.

Morgan Myers made nine saves in goal for the Cougars.

Misericordia falls to 6-10 overall but the Cougars are still in good shape with a 3-2 Freedom Conference record. MU hosts DeSales on Saturday in a game with significant playoff ramifications for both sides.
