Despite a game-high 24 points from
Lacey DeGraw, the Misericordia University women's basketball team lost at Manhattanville, 71-63, Saturday.
DeGraw shot 10-17 form the floor and was joined in double figures by
Courtney Sykes and
Jesse Robinson with 11 and 10 points, respectively.
After falling behind by nine at halftime, 42-33, the Cougars cut the deficit to 47-44 on a DeGraw layup with 11:22 remaining.
But, that was as close as the Cougars would get.
MU is 12-11 overall and 7-7 in the Freedom Conference and will host Wilkes, Tuesday at 6:00.
The Cougars can clinch a Freedom playoff berth with a win over Wilkes or Delaware Valley or a loss by Delaware Valley (vs. DeSales and MU) and FDU-Florham (vs. Alvernia and Manhattanville).
