The Misericordia University men's basketball team dropped its second straight with a 75-63 loss to Eastern Saturday at the Anderson Center.
Robbie Johnson had a team-high 17 points, and Vinny Baumunk added 16 in the loss. Marcus Little led with five assists.
Baumunk fell a board short of the double-double with nine.
The Cougars held the advantage throughout the first half and led by as much as nine points. Johnson led with 11 in the half, including three layups through a crowded lane. They led 37-28 at the break.
Baumunk came alive in the second half after being held to four points in the first. Up 37-30, he sank the first of four layups. He also shot 4-for-7 from the line.
But the Eagles shot well in the late stages of the game. They cashed in on opportunities at the line to the tune of 13-for-15 and enjoyed both single and double bonuses.
The Cougars (10-11, 4-8) return to action at home Wednesday night in an 8:00 p.m. game against FDU-Florham.
