The Misericordia University men's tennis team's playoff hopes came to an end with a tough 5-4 loss at FDU-Florham, Tuesday.
The Devils took two out of three doubles matches and split the singles matches to hold for the win.
Brett Ford (6-2, 6-3),
Matt Hopkins (6-0, 6-2) and
Justin Muthler (6-1, 6-2) were victorious at fourth through sixth singles, respectively, for the Cougars.
Fred Hockenbury and
Nate Powers teamed for an 8-1 win at second doubles.
Muthler and Hopkins lost 9-8 (8-6) at third doubles.
The Cougars will host Baptist Bible, Wednesday at 3:30.
