The Misericordia University women's tennis team advanced to the Freedom Championship with a 5-0 win over DeSales, Saturday at Kirby Park.

The Cougars will face Wilkes in the finals, Sunday at noon at Kirby Park.

Abby Searfoss and Ashley Mangabang won, 8-0, at first doubles and Maura Haupt and Courtney Otto were 8-3 winners at second doubles.

The two doubles victories along with three forfeits gave MU the 5-0 win and their first trip to the conference title match in their five-year history.
