The Misericordia University volleyball team rallied for a 3-1 win over Manhattanville to extend their winning streak to six matches, Wednesday night in the Anderson Center.

After an 1-1/2 hour delay due the late-arriving Valiants, it was Misericordia that appeared road-weary as the Cougars dropped the opener, 26-24.

The Cougars looked sharp while winning games two and three, 25-11, 25-13.  They held off a Manhattanville rally for a 25-21 win in the clincher.

Lexie Goble led the Cougars with 12 kills, two aces and two blocks.

Cailin McCullion added nine kills.

Kristin Hoffman had 17 assists and Meghan Hotaling added 11.

Shannon Kane and Jesse Karger had 26 and 25 digs, respectively.

Xiu Carrasquillo had 26 assists for the Valiants while Kelly Schlitternhardt added 14 kills.

MU improved to 7-2 overall and 1-0 in the Freedom while Manhattanville to 3-4/0-1.
MU 7-2 and will compete at the Lebanon Valley Inviational, Friday and Saturday.
