The Misericordia University women's basketball team fell behind early and couldn't recover in an 84-66 loss at Delaware Valley, Saturday.
Courtney Sykes led four players in double-figures with 14 points.
Christine Marks and
Jesse Robinson both added 12 points while
Tyann McDaniel had 11.
Marks had a team-high eight rebounds.
After Robinson scored to open the game, the Aggies rattled off 18 unanswered points while building a 36-6 lead with 8:55 to play in the first half.
The Cougars outscored the Aggies 18-10 the rest of the way, but went into the break trailing 46-24.
Robinson and Sykes combined for 13 points early in the second half as the Cougars closed to within 50-37, with 14:08 remaining, but that's as close as they got.
MU fell to 10-8 and into a third-place tie in the Freedom Conference with DeSales (5-3>
The Cougars will host Wilkes, Wednesday at 6:00.
