The Misericordia University men's tennis team picked up its first Freedom Conference win with a 9-0 sweep over DeSales, Saturday.

Brandon Lux, Fred Hockenbury, Frank Nutt, Brett Ford, Nate Powers and Justin Muthler were all double-winners for the Cougars.

Lux won 6-1, 6-0 at number on and teamed with Nutt for an 8-3 win at first doubles.

Hockenbury won 6-0, 6-0 at second doubles and joined Nate Powers for an 8-4 win at second doubles.

Nutt won 6-1, 6-2 at third singles and Powers won 6-2, 6-7 (2-7), 10-5 at number five.

Brett Ford and Justin Muthler won 8-3 at third doubles.

Ford won 6-3, 6-3 at number four and Muthler won 6-1, 6-3 at sixth singles.

MU, 4-8 (1-2), will visit Lycoming, Monday.
