Lycoming scored two goals in a three-minute span early in the second half to hand the Misericordia University men's soccer team a 3-2 season-opening loss, Wednesday in Williamsport.
Joey Scanlon and
Andy Bush both scored for Misericordia while
Nathan Troup and
Matt Scott added assists.
After Lycoming took a 1-0 lead late in the first half, Scanlon tied it just before halftime with an assist from Troup off a corner.
Bush scored on a breakaway in the opening minute of the second half to give the Cougars a 2-1 lead.
Lyco tied it in the 60th minute and netted the game-winner on a penalty kick less than two minutes later.
Dan Fritz made five saves in goal in his first collegiate start.
Misericordia will host Ursinus, Saturday at 3:30.
