The Misericordia University women's tennis team earned shutouts in four different matches as they swept Baptist Bible 9-0, Saturday.

Freshman Michelle Cameron (third singles), senior Courtney Otto (fourth) and junior Lauren Verret (sixth) all won 6-0, 6-0 in their respective matches.

In addition, Ellyn Wingert and Jen Spott won 8-0 at third doubles.

Freshman Breanne Phillips won 6-1, 6-3 at first singles while classmate Cassie Foy was a 6-1, 6-1 winner in the fifth singles spot. Senior Ashley Mangabang won 6-3, 6-2 at second singles.

Mangabang combined with Otto to win 8-4, while Cameron and Phillips prevailed 8-1 at first doubles.

The Cougars improve to 1-1 and will host Lycoming on September 26.
