Dan Pinto had a goal and an assist to lead the Misericordia University men's soccer team to a 3-1 win at King's, Tuesday.
Rob Wiacek and
Eric Kishbaugh added goals for the Cougars while
Greg Korhonen and
Nick Ferguson both had assists.
After a scoreless first half, Wiacek put the Cougars ahead off a Korhonen throw-in just 41 seconds into the second half.
The score held for more than 30 minutes until Pinto one-timed a cross from Ferguson for a 2-0 lead at 81:02.
Six minutes later, Pinto played a ball through to Kishbaugh who found the back of the net for a 3-0 lead.
The Monarchs averted the shutout when Tim Meyer scored an unassisted goal with 31 seconds remaining.
MU managed just two shots in the first half, but held and 8-3 edge over the final 45 minutes.
Misericordia improved to 10-1-1 (2-1) and will travel to Eastern, Saturday at 2:30.
