The Misericordia University men's soccer team fell to nationally ranked DeSales 5-2, Wednesday night at Mangelsdorf Field.
Andy Bush and
Eric Kishbaugh scored goals while
Dan Pinto recorded an assist.
DeSales scored two goals in the first seven minutes to start the game but the Cougars quickly answered with a pair of goals in 1:12.
Pinto volleyed a ball forward to Bush who made the keeper miss and scored on an open net to pull within one at 22:05.
Kishbaugh found a loose ball off a corner kick and shot to tie the game, 2-2, just over a minute later.
DSU's Jonathan Balfour scored twice before the end of the first half to put the Bulldogs up 4-2.
In the 47th minute
Rob Wiacek passed to Pinto in the box, but the pass was just too far ahead of him.
David Stoner's shot from 20 yards out was saved by a diving Colin Sulpizio. Stoner shot again in the 75th minute from outside the box and hit the left post.
MU outshot DeSales 22-9 and had an advantage in corners 13-6.
The Cougars are now 10-2-2 (2-2-1). They will play again at FDU-Florham, Saturday.
