Ethan Eichhorst had 27 points to lead the Misericordia University men's basketball team to a 66-42 win over Manhattanville, Saturday afternoon at the Anderson Center.

Dylan Grotevant and Justin Grotevant both added 10 points as the Cougars improved to 6-1.

Eichhorst buried back-to-back three-pointers to give MU an 8-0 lead less than five minutes into the game.

After Manhattanville cut it to 8-6, Eichhorst scored twice and Joe Busacca made a nifty reverse scoop shot for a 16-6 lead.

Busacca's runner made it 18-8 with 9:00 to play in the first half and the Valiants only got within nine points once the rest of the way.

Leading 39-30, Justin Grotevant scored five straight points for a 44-30 lead with 11:37 to play.

After an Eichhorst putback, Dylan Grotevant took a pass from his brother and drained a three for a 51-30 lead with 9:37 to go.

Dylan Grotevant made another three from the right corner for a 59-38 advantage with 5:45 reamining.

Misericordia shot 91.7% from the foul line (22-24).

The Cougars will travel to Susquehanna, Monday.
