The Misericordia University women's tennis team improved to 2-0 in Freedom Conference play with a 9-0 sweep of FDU-Florham, Saturday in Madison, NJ.
MU got off to a great start in doubles competition. Freshman
Cassie Foy and senior
Jennifer Spott won 8-0 at third doubles, while seniors
Ashley Mangabang and
Courtney Otto were 8-1 victors in the second spot.
Freshmen
Michelle Cameron and
Breanne Phillips won 8-4 at first doubles and also took their singles matches in the first and second spots, respectively.
Otto won a perfect 6-0, 6-0 match at fourth singles, while Mangabang (third), Foy (fifth) and
Ellyn Wingert (sixth) were also victorious in individual competition.
Misericordia improves to 8-5 overall and will travel to Elizabethtown, tomorrow at 1 PM.
