Two singles matches went three sets and two more were ended on a tie-breaker as the Misericordia University men's tennis team defeated Baptist Bible 7-2, Thursday.
Senior
Frank Nutt clinched his second singles match in a tie-breaker, winning 7-5, 7-6 (7-3).
Matt Erney had an almost identical score at fifth singles, winning 7-5, 7-6 (7-3).
Junior
Fred Hockenbury won 6-3, 4-6, 6-1 at first singles, while
Brett Ford fell in three sets at the third spot.
Senior
Justin Muthler won 6-4, 6-0 at fourth singles and teamed with Hockenbury to win 8-5 at second doubles.
Ryan Felsman celebrated his return to the team with a victory in the sixth singles spot.
Matt Erney was victorious at fifth singles and teamed with
Kyle Capozzi for the win at third doubles.
The Cougars improve to 2-9 overall and travel to Eastern, Saturday morning.
