The Misericordia University volleyball team won its season opener, 3-1 (25-18, 25-22, 21-25, 25-13), Thursday at Gwynedd-Mercy.

Cailin McCullion had five kills and 15 digs and Krystal Burford, Molly Harleman and Nicole Korgeski all had four kills.

Kristin Hoffman had 19 digs and 19 assists and Kellyn Swanson added 19 digs in her collegiate debut.

Harleman added three aces.

MU will host Immaculata, Saturday at 1:00.
