The Misericordia University volleyball team was swept by nationally-ranked Eastern, 3-0 (25-9, 25-15, 25-16), Wednesday at the Anderson Center.
Cailin McCullion led the Cougars with four kills while Kat LaBrie added three kills.
Kellyn Swanson had two kills, one ace and six digs.
Eastern opened the first set with a 5-0 lead and quickly stretched it to 13-3 and the Cougars never got closer than nine points.
Trailing 9-2 in the second set, McCullion snapped a 5-0 Eastern run with a kill and Stack followed with an ace to make it 9-4.
Eastern responded with a 6-1 spurt before Brochetti's smash through two blockers on the left side. Swanson's ace made it 15-7.
Lexi Giannone's ace and a block by LaBrie/Brochetti to MU within 18-10, but Eastern pulled away down the stretch.
The Cougars grabbed their first lead of the night, 2-1, on LaBrie's kill and an Eastern error to start the third set.
After Eastern tied it, 3-3, Swanson sandwiched a kill inside the end line between a pair of Eastern errors for a 6-3 lead.
Swanson's kill down the middle gave MU a 9-6 lead, but Eastern responded with a 5-0 run to take an 11-9 lead.
McCullion's kill made it 11-10, but the Cougars never got any closer.
MU will host Penn State Harrisburg, Saturday.
