The Misericordia University men's soccer team battled to a 2-2 draw in double-overtime in a key Freedom Conference match, Saturday at DeSales.
Dan Pinto scored both goals for the Cougars while
Eric Kishbaugh added a pair of assists.
Off a corner kick, Kishbaugh served a ball to the near post and Pinto finished it for a 1-0 lead just 2:41 into the match.
DeSales evened the score less than four minutes later and the score stood until the 70th minute when Pinto and Kishbaugh connected again.
Pinto took a serve from Kishbaugh and fired a shot before burying his own rebound for a 2-1 lead at 70:17.
DeSales answered quickly again and neither team could score over the final 13 minutes of regulation or in 20 minutes of extra play.
Billy Sopko made two saves in goal for MU while
David Stoner had a solid match at outside back.
Misericordia remained unbeaten over the last eight games while improving to 9-4-2 (3-0-1).
The Cougars will visit Wilkes, Thursday at 4:00.
