The Misericordia University women's soccer team closed out its non-conference schedule with a 3-0 win at Scranton, Wednesday night.
Erin McGreal,
Megan Lannigan and
Laura Roney all scored for the Cougars who improved to 14-2-1.
Devin Simpson and
Meghan Antrim had assists and
Maureen Ciccosanti made four saves to earn the shutout.
MU took a 1-0 lead when Simpson crossed a ball that found McGreal, who buried it from two yards out at 18:31.
Midway through the second half, Antrim found Lannigan who ripped a shot from 25 yards out to make it 2-0.
Roney added an unassisted insurance goal late in the second period.
MU held a 13-8 advantage in shots in the first half and had 21-14 edge for the game.
Misericordia travels to Manhattanville for their regular season finale, Saturday and will host a Freedom semifinal, Wednesday at 7:00.
